Another extremely popular area amongst the student population, Hyde Park, provides the perfect base if you are studying at any of the city based campuses, with most houses, just a 10 minute walk from the university its definitely worth considering for its proximity alone.
It's centre is located at Hyde Park Corner where a wide variety of shops and cafes can be found, alongside the wonderful backdrop of Hyde Park itself, where you will find a large expanse of parkland, perfect for relaxing in the sun, or having a game or two of football.
Hyde Park is also extremely proud of its historical Picture House, which has been showing films and stage performances for more than 100 years. Extremely popular amongst its residents, the cinema is well known for its international, and alternative film showings.
Like most of the suburbs featured, Hyde Park also benefits from a wide range of convenience stores, take-aways and pubs. However is also close enough to both Headingley and the city centre to benefit from their amenities as well.
